Kawhia Band of Hope.
On Friday evening last the membars of tha loeal Band of Hope were provided with a tea in Saott’s Hall by heir relatives and friends. The attendance was large, and the juveniles seamed to spend a happy time, tbair wants being looked after by quite a dirge number of lilies who appeared to d.rive great pletsura in the work shat they knew was the means of making so many children glad. After tea a c mcert was given by tho mem bers, tbo Rev. K. Mitchell presiding. V particularly lengthy programme was gone throng, each number b.-ing w 11 rendered. Great credit ii due to the le&dors of tho Band of Hop?, who mint have spent- many hours in the' tuition of the young performers.
