THE PROPOSED TOWN BOARD.
’(to the editor.) Sir, —I noticed a letter in a recent isms ‘signed “ Anti Town B arder.” Now somi are in fav • i ?o ae again-: a Town Brirl Th - ttd.-ao-tagas and di<u Ivaotag-s f t Tiwn B srd want co ba ih >ro;ig Jy ventila h e j. Before doing anything further it would bo fair to an mat t everyone knew what really would be the adsantage gained by having a Town Board. If it is to be solely a ) rate collecting m ichine and co benefit a few, drop it. If, on the other hand, it is to be a benefit to tbe residents of ibis shoot of a future large city, have it, and instead of fighting aud being unpleasant over it let chose wuo h±ve the power to put it thr >ugn d i so. “ Anti Town Boarder ” men.ion* that some were unduly iufl'ieocei m *igo. Of course, thac may rra ; may not. As regards a H i- j, us have one by all m her that Kiwhia is i • »

Whatever we do let us do it amicably. It is the worst possible sign of any community to find no unity among them; wrangling, and saying hard things of each ocher shows our community in a bad light. Let □s, therefore, pull out the weeds of discord, and we shall be pleased to find we have more influence on outsiders for our future benefit. Saying that this, that or the other is in error does no good.—Yours, etc., PAX NOBIS.
