Proposed Loan for the Widening and Metalling the Okupata Road. ’PUB KAWHIA COUNCIL propose L to raise a Loan of £l5OO for the term of 41 years at 4 per cent, per annum for the Okupata Road. It is proposed to strike a Rate of 1 11 Hid in the £ on the unimproved value of the following lands abutting on tbo said road:—Sections 5, 6,Ga, 7, 11,12, 18, Bbck V., Pirongia West; Sections 1,6, 7, Block VIII., Kawbia North ; Section 2c, No. Bb, and all Native Land abutting on said road ; and half rates on Sections 2 and 3, Block VIII, Kawbia North, aud Sections 8 and 9, Block V., Pirongia West. The proposed security for the re payment is to be the thirds accruing and the special rate of 1 11-16 d in the £. The cost of raising the loan to be paid out of she thirds in hand, any deficiency to be made up out of special rate.
