IN pursuance of the “ Midwives’ Registration Act,” which enacts that after the Ist January, 1907, uo woman shall practice as a midwife unless registered, examinations will be held in the four con'Fes in September and December next, to enable those women to register who have not hitherto done so. Candidates for registration must be of good character, and have either been in bona tide practice hs midwives for four years or over, or, can produce a certificate showing that they have attended not less than twenty cases of labour under the immediate supervision of a medical man, or a nnrse holding a certificate in midwifery training. Forms of application for intending candidates aau be bad from the Registrar of Nurses and ‘Midwives, Hospitals Department, Government Buildings, Wellington; and applications to sit for examination should be sent in the first week in August or the first week iu November.
