As usual, the floor was in good order. The music was supplied by Mrs Miles (accordeon)Duriag the pa-t week the weather has been very boisterous and wintry, accompanied by thunder and ligbtn ing, but so far as ia known no damage has been done to property locally. By the Sydney boat that left Auok land on the 80th ult., Mr H. June*(son of Mr W. H. James, of Te Rore) iefc the colony to seek his fortune in South Africa, whore he alre dy has three bcutners in the mines. Residents of this district wish him every s •’ceea. 3
