Kiritehere.
(from a correspondent.) The weather has been very severe daring the past six weeks, with lhe result that the roads and tracks are now almost impassible. Tbe Government is still pressing on with road work, and have recently let several fresh contracts in the district. I hear that there is an additional £2OO is to be spent on the Kiritehere Valley road. Tbe new season’s grass is looking well. Mr Rose recently brought the first mob of sheep into the block, and I heir that Mr J, Bonnett >s bringing in a nice mob of cattle. During tbe next few months quite a number of cattle will be brought in. Bushfalling has commenced. Mr Gregg has let several contracts and the men have made a start. Mr Woldes has also started, and his example will be followed by other settlers in a few weeks lime.
