AN IMPORTANT SUGGESTION.

Sir, —May I presume to suggest that a great necessity in our small but rising community je the requirement of a tocsin in case of fire. 1 think it behoves all who bold either interest or stake among us to assemble together to consider the matter and take steps to form a of volunteers : also to call the attention of the Council to the fact that a fire bell is needed. Needless to say more, for your reader.? will ' discern tile truth of the above remarks. ; I hipo the matter will be taken up ; upon the linos advocated, or by a j better pen than, yours, etc .
