Pirongia.
(taOM OUB OWN COKKE6PONDENT.) Pirnngia has been rather extravagant during the poet week, as we have bad two dramatic entertainmests pre ■ sen ted by the Oswald Dramatic C im- i
pany. On Tuesday, the 2ad thus., they staged “ The River Myster?,” iu the Public Hall, before a good bousv., and were so well satisfied with tba patronage that they paid a retorn visit ou the following Thursday and played “ East Lynne ” to another good audi once. After this jJissipatioo Pi rongta will have to go back to its dormant state to recuperate. Tue weather has been very varied lately. Frost muue its appearance on three or four occasions, followed by
tine hot days, then King Sol would disappear for a day or two, and just as one thought it was going to rain we had frost again. Threshing and chaff cutting are being pushed forward whenever the machines ace available. Cattle and horses are iu need of feed, owing to the long spell of dry weather.
