TE AWAMUTU SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. (Hamilton) report-At onr Te Awamutu sale on Saturday, 11th inet., we had a yarding of over 800 head of cattle. Buyer* were preeent for young cattle, and prices improved slightly, with the result -that nearly every pen realised a satisfactory price. Well grown strong calves sold at from £1 3s to £1 15s; smaller sorts, 19s to £1 4a; yearling steers and heifers, £2 to £t 14s; fresh-oonditioned cows and heiferr, £3 10s to £4; 3-year-old steers, £4 17s 6d; fat cows, £5 7s 6d to £5 15s; fat ewes, 15s (Jd; young pigs, 9s to 14s ; slip*. 18s to £1 Is ; draught mere, £l3 17s 6d, A few light hacks offered but a poor demand.
