KAWHIA V. OPABAU.
On Saturday last tbe above teams met at Oparau for tbe fourth time ibis Manon, when after a good game victory rented with tbe visitors who had 49 runs to ths good. Both teams wore well represented, and a largo number of people witnessed the game, amongst those present being a large number of ladies. Refreshments were provided tor tbe players and visitors by the Operau cricketers and also by a number of Kewhia Indian. Kawhia wont to tbe wickets first and knocked up 59, of which Coe was top scorer with 15, made by hard bitting. Oparau replied with 31, none of the batsmen making double figures. Kawhia made 51 in their second attempt, Coe (18) and Falwasser (12) I playing good cricket tor their runs. In I Oparau's second innings they made 94 ,of which total C. Newton hit bard for [lO.
