Tbe following have been nppoinled members ot the Royal Commission, authorised by Parliament last session, on ths motion i»t tbe Premier, for the purposs Sot vorfeetigsting tbs conditions ot land t tonjfe, the oonetiteling of land boards, anj [other matters affecting agriculturti and pastoral interests throughout tbe colony Robert Hall, Auckland: Wm. Wilson M‘Cardie, Kawhia *, John Moore Johnson, Palmerston North; William Brooklyn Matheson, Rongom&i; Walter Scott Reid, Wellington; George William Forbes, Linwood; Donald M‘Lennon, Dunstroon; John Thomas Pauli, Dunedin ; John Anstey, Otipua. Mr Reid is to be chairman of tbe Commission, and Mr R. A. Loughnan, journalist, bas been appointed secretary.
