Kawhia School Committee.
A meeting of the Kawhia School Committee was held on Friday, 6th Jan., at Mr Hamilton’s. Present : Messrs McCardle (chair), Hamilton, Turrell, and Whitcombe. Accounts amounting to £2 7s 6d were passed for payment. Mr B. Mitchell was appointed member of the Committee in the place of Mr Barton, who had left the district. It wks decided to as’/ the Board to give £ for £ up to about £5 to obtain gymnastic apparatus for the school children. A letter for the Board was read staling that a building grant of £3OO would te expended in turning the present infant room into a porch and erecting ii new infant room with capacity for 10 children.
