King Country Chronicle Saturday, Feb. 27th, 1915.
Mr Walter Hunt, who play a Richard Gilder in "Within the Law," played the same part for twelve months with the No. 1 touring company in the English provinces. A short sitting of the Police Court was held at Te Kuiti this morning before Mr Mostyn Jones, J.P. A flrßt offender for drunkenness, waß fined five shillings and cobls. Arthur Pottß alias Arthur Smith, on a charge of theft at Ohakuno, was remanded. The prisoner was arrested at Aria and brought to To Kuiti last night by Sergeant Howell. The following motion was carried at the last meeting of the Ohura County Council: "That, the clerk write to the Waikato Hospital Hoard pointing out that the amount of £453 fis 2d seems excessive as a contribution in view of the fact that after April this county will pay to the Taumarunui Board, and tnis county derives no benefit from the erection of now buildings and the Bubßidies paid to various auxiliary institutions in other districts."
