The annual race meeting under the auspices of the Te Kuiti Racing Club has come to he regarded as one of the great holidays of the year, and each meeting sees a still' larger number of visitors assemble at the picturesque Te Kumi course to take part in the gathering. Saturday laat saw a record crowd of both local and visiting pleasure seekers congregate, and favoured with line, weather the meeting proved to be the most successful yet held on the course. The racing was excellent and the fields, with the exception of the hurdle race, were well above the average.
