It is notified by advertisement in this issue that an election will be held for the return of five qualified persons to serve as Licensing Committee for the Tauma,runui district. The latest hour for receiving rominatiops of candidates will be noon of the 27th day of February, and the poll, if necessary, will be taken on March 9th. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two eectors of the district, and nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officar on or before noon on February 27th. Miss' Handyside has handed in a further sum of £3 5s 7d towards the Red Crosß Fund.
