TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Wednesday of last week, the Commissioner, Mr G. H. Bullard, presiding. There were also present: Messrs C. J. Ryan and W. W. Jones' The fullowing business of interest to the King Country was dealt with: — TRANSFERS. ■ » Frederick E. Thompson to S. V. Brightwell, lessee of L.I.P. section 12,- block 2, Heao. R. E. Till, section 6, block 4, Aria, half share, to Arthur Aldridge. Eleanor Mary Thomasen, section 17, block 5, Tangitu, to V. R. Astbury. The application of Emily White, section 9, block 15, Aria, to transfer to Rose Carter, was deferred for ranger's report. SUB-LEASE M." I. Bocock, section 3, block 7, Mimi, applied to sub-let to A, H. Feathestone.—Approved. THIRDS. A schedule of proposals for expenditure of thirds was forwarded for:— Waitomo County Council, to September 30th, 1914, £587 5a 6d;Okato Road Board, M 0s 2d; Clifton County Council, to September 30tb, 1914, £512 A3 7d„ It was resolved to recommend for approval, subject to satisfactory report from the ranger in each instance. - - GENERAL. L. C. H. Ellicott, lessse of section 6, block 11, Tangitu, was granted six months'extension of time to effect improvements. Jas. Patterson applied for a temporary lease of about one acre, part of section 6, block 1, Rangi, for enclosing as a horse paddock, —Left in the Commissioner's hands. W. M. Peterson, lessse of section 12, block 11, Mapara, leaving with the Expeditionary Force, was granted 12 months' exemption from residence and extension of time to effcet improvements.
