RIVAL AIR FLEETS BUSY.

RAID ON DUNKIRK. ALLIES RAID ZEEBRUGGE. Wellington, Sunday. The Prime Minister has received the following cablegram from the High Commisisoner in London, dated January 24th: — The Admiralty reports that a doaen German aeroplanes flew over Dunkirk on Friday morning, dropping bombs. Only a dock shed was Bet on fire, though the United States Consulate was badly smashed. Belgian. French, and British airmen engaged the Germans, one of whom was brought down by the British over the Belgian frontier. Squadron - Commander Davis and Flight-Lieutenant Peirz flew to Zeebrugge and dropped 27 bombs on the German submarines and batteries. One submarine was damaged, and it is believed that there were many casualties among the gun cre*s. Commander Davies whilst reconnoitring earlier in the day, was surrounded by seven German aeroplanes, but he escaped. Though Blightly wounded in the thigh he continued his flight, and accomplished his mission. He is progressing satisfactorily. Paris, Sunday. The German aeroplanes which attacked Dunkrik dropped 80 bombs, killing seven and wounding twelve. FRENCH AIRMAN'S FEAT. Paris, Sunday. An Amsterdam message states that a French airman dropped several bombs on Bruges on Friday afternoon.
