BOWLS.

Two local teams are to take part in the South Auckland tournament, which opens at Cambridge to-day. Both rinks are fairly strong and should rentier a good account of themselves. The president's team left yesterday afternoon by motor car, while the other players left by the early train this morning with the intention of motoring through from Te Awamutu.

An all-day tournament wi'l be held on'the Te Kuiti green on Friday. All intending competitors are requested to be on the ground at nine o'clock. Given fie weather a very enjoyable time should be spent, while the benefit to the younger playtrs should be considarable.
