SPORTING.
TE KDITI RACING CLUB. The forthcoming meeting under the auspices of the Te Kuiti Racing Club has attracted remarkably good entries for the various events, and the class of horses competing promises to be up to the standard of the best country meetings. A total of a hundred and twenty-nine nominations for the eight events must be considered satisfactory, though the Cup entries might have been better However, if the eight nominated go to the post a highly interesting contest should eventuate. - The hurdle race has filled exceedingly well, and the candidates are of a very even Btandard. The minor events have all been well patronised, and with a number of local competitors in .the fields there iB sure to be keen interest taken in them. The weights are due to appear on Monday next, and acceptances close with the secretary on Saturday, February 6th. Special train arrangements have been made and everything points to a record gathering at the Te Kumi course on Saturday, FebI ruary 13trj,
