FEARFUL LOSS OF LIFE,

Eleven shocks were felt yesterday,
Fifty thousand houses out of a hundred thousand are affected in the district.
The dead at Avezzano are collected on the roadsides and weeping men, women and children are searching thfl heaps of bodies for relations. The daughter of Count Resta wbb rescued alive on Monday. She^ii3 twenty years old, and her hair has gone white.
