RESIGNATION FROM CABINET,
ANTI GERMAN FEELING
Received Tuesday, 7.35 p.m. Adelaide, Tuesday
Cabinet haa accepted the resignation of Mr Homburg, AttorneyGeneral. The resignation is the outcome of anti-German feeling. Mr Homburg, in a letter to the Premier urging the acceptance of the resignation, said: "War lies and calumnies continue more virulently than ever. I wish to free the Governmet and party of any burden they may be carrying because of my descent, even though this country is that of my birth, and I have never been away from it. I shall never let it bo said we sank because I was in the boat." The Premier expressed daep regret on behalf of himself and colleagues that it should appear Mr Homburg left office because of the opposition raised on account of his lineage He paid a high tribue to Mr Homburg's public spirit, keen sense of persoral and political honour, and to his valuable patriotic and Ministerial services.
