Northern Charmer is a dark bay with black points, and was foaled on December I2th, 1905. He has many good points to recommend him as a sire. He has splendid feet and pasterns, plenty of flat bone, good action, and a sound cdnstitution, with, a very docile temper. Northern: Charmer is not one of those big awkward elks that farmers try to avoid, but is a splendidly proportioned horse ; possessing great muscle s and strength in a fairly small compass. The judge (Mr.. J. Baxter) at the Masterton A, and:'P. Show, 1909, gave Northern Charmer special praise for his splendid feet, and considered him a model for a farmers' class of stallion. He was awarded 2nd prize in the 3-year-old class at the Masterton- A. and P.
