SUDDEN DEATH AT TE KUITI.
A painfully sudden death occurred on Saturday evening In at, when Mrs Elizabeth Allan, wiCu of Mr Alfred Allan. expired suddenly in Mr Burley's drapery shop. Mrn Allan was making a purchase about half-past aix in the evening, and wbb euddenly seized by faiutness. She sank to the floor, and before assistance could arrive th 3 unfortunte lady had expired. Dr Zobel was hastily summoned, but could do no mora than pronounce life extinct. An inquest was held on Sunday bpfora Mr J. Boddie, Coroner. Evidence was given by Dr Zobel, who had performed a post-mortem examination, to the effect that death was duo to syncope brought on by fatty generation of the heart. A verdict in accordance with the medical testimony was returned. Deceased was interred in the Te Kuiti Monday afternoon.
