PREPARING FOR THE SPRING.
RUSSIA, GERMANY AND RUMANIA. London, Sunday. The Russian levy of recruits for 1915. numbering 585,000, is being called up, the time limit being February 15 th. The Petit Parisien states that Rumania is preparing to mobiilse three classeH of her army, totalling 135,000, ready for service at at the end of January, ultimately making 450,000 available for the field.
NEW GERMAN ARMY. London, Sunday
Copenhagen advices state that there is strong evidence that the Germans are preparing for a new offensive in the west. Railways are blocked with miiltary trainß hurrying troops westward. The troops include many young soldiers, who are evidently part of a new army.
BELGIUM'S NfciW ARMY
London, Monday.
The new army of the Belgians is numerically equal to the original army. The men are training in Normandy, and will shortly be ready for the field.
Belgium's field army numbered 150,000 men when the war broke out.
