FRENCH IN ALSACE.

GERMAN BRIGADE ANNIHILATED. Paris, Sunday. The French entered Burnhaapt, in Alsace, which the Germans claimed to have recaptured, in order to inflict the maximum loss on the Germans. Afterwards they retired to their original positions. The enemy suffered terribly from the French artillery, which annihilattd an entire brigade. The French than occupied the heights dominating Cernay, and aho the forest of*Monnenbruch, south of the town. Bitter fighting has taken place west of. Cernay, several points having been captured and recaptured.
