The Belgian Legation has .issued a record of the maltreatment of the Catholic clergy in Belgium, including an invalid octogenarian at Buechen, cabled on the 6th. He was accused of firfng at the Germans, thrown into a ditch, dragged in the streets by the legs and shot. A priest at . Gelrod* was beaten with a rifle butt until the blood dripped. • He was then shot and thrown into the river. Twenty-six innocent priests were killed in the Malines diocese, ten at Liege, twenty at Namur, and three at Tourn3i.
