A. AND P. SHOW.
Tne furthcoming Show under the auspices ot the King Country Central A. .and P. Association, Bhould appeal to the local farmers particularly at the present time. Aa is well known the Show was started modestly, and has not beenfavoured by iuak in the matter of weather. The affairs of the Association era therefore not aB flourishing from a financial standpoint as could bo wished. However, the absolute necessity of promoting the show on good lines and tho benefits already derived from the establishing of such an institution, render it imperative that every effort should bo made to make tho forthcoming event a recor.l Huccess. The organisation in connection with the Association is now well established and running smoothly, and all that is required to ensure continued BUCceßs is the loyal co-operation nf the settlers, together with the hearty -support of the townspeople, who are equally interested. It is needless to again draw attention to the benefits derived from tbe establishing of an up-to-date Agricultural and Pastoral Assocatiion, of which the arinual Show is merely ono of tho functions. The tendency is to attach more and more importance to the ideas of practical and experienced farmers in matters relating to tho producing industries, and by combining in the form of such associations the farmers of tho district can materially promote their own interests. It is to be hoped nothing ( will ba lacking on tho part of the eettlers to make the forthepming Show the conspicuous success which should attach to such an important function in a district which is destined to rank in importance among tho best in the Dominion.
