GERMAN ATTACKS REPULSED.
TRENCHES CARRIED IN THE ARGONNE. Paris, Wednesday. "An official communique stages that the Allies repulsed two attacks on the duns and near the south-east of Saint Georges. They progressed a hundred metres north-west of Rheims, and recaptured trenches in -La Grurie Wood. They repulsed violent attacks at Bagatelle and Fontaine Madame. The communique adds that Colonel Garibaldi, with his Italian regiment, made a vigorous charge at Courts Chausse, in the Argonne, leaping in« to a trench in Which a breach had been made by sapping and exploding the trench. Tiny took 120 prisoners. Colonel Garibaldi's brother, Constanline, was killed during the attack.
