THE BRAEMARS
The management ol the People's Picture Palace is very fortunate in securing tbe Braemara, who are at present in town, for u season commening Friday evening. Tbe Brne' mars,|who have just concluded a very, succeisful tour of the large towns of tbe Dominion, ranlis with, the world's Btara as performers, and T* Kuili theatre-goers will no doubt hail with delight the coming event, We quote a report of the company on their second visit to Wanganui on Auguat 22nd. The Wanganui Heiild saya: "A great success is the only terra that can be applied to the opening performance of the Braemats at the King's Theatre last evening. Every seat in the circle was booked up and so great was the demand for seats that numbers were turned away." The Otago Daily Times, Duntdin, aays: "His Majesty's Theatre was packed to the doors to witneßs the performance o' the Braemars, and it is safe to say that never bfeore laß a Dunedin audience laughed bo long and so heartily as they did last evening, and as the great audience left the building the general opinion was freely expressed that for reßl, genuine laughter the Bramears stana alone." This is only a few of the excellent reports wo have had the pleasure of perusing, and it is eafe to say that Te Kuitl will ba no exception to the other towns, and h record house ehoud.be assured on Friday evening next.
EMPRESS PICTURES,
Thi3 evening the great star .picture, "Irogedy in the Clouds" will be shown, and a full house should result from the recaption this picture received last evening. A Keystone scream and war films, with other pictures, make up an attractive eupporting programme. Thursday and Friday the star film is entitled "A Foreman's Treachery." The comic, educational, dramatic, aid scenic films supporting the star are of the best. On Saturday afternoon a matinee will be given free to school children. In the near future the great picture entitled "Anthony and Cleopatra" will be featured.
