The Petrograd correspondent of the Daily Telegraph states that the meandering character of the Bzura enables t'ie Russians to command with deadly fire every possible crossing point. Germany possibly relies on an early winter to facilitate operations. The weather hitherto has been exceptionally mlid. A communique states that the Austrians have been driven back to the right bank of the Nida. An Austrian attack has been repulsed along the Tuchow-Olpiny front. Tfte enemy abandoned ten quickfirers, forty-three officers, and 2500 men. A thousand more were taken prisoners during the pursuit, and Siedlizka, on the left bank of the Eiala, was occupied. The Austrians are in full retreat. In Zmigrod Dukla district thay suffered enormous losses, 10.000 being captured alone. GERMANY GROWING UNEASY. TEMPORARY REVERSES ADMITTED. Auuiterilarr, Sunday. Many German rawspnpers are seeking to allay uneasiness due to the fact that iso coßiirrnaiion hag been received of General von Hindcnburg'a alleged great victory. ' They are now appealing to the public not to show impatience, but to prove that they possess strong r.ervea and are able to support temporary reverses while awaiting the final victory. .
