The damage by bombs cannot be estimated.

The' Prime Minister has received the following from the High Commissioner:—The Admiralty announce that on Friday the German warships in Schillig Roads, Cuxhafen, were attacked by seven British seaplanes. The attack bagan at daylight. The seaplanes were escorted by a light cruiser and destroyer" force and submarines. Upon being sighted, the enemy ships attacked from Heligoland with two Zepptlins, four planes, and several submarines. A novel combat ensued. By swift manoeuvring the enemy submarines were avoidsd, twY) Zeppelins fleeing before the guns of the Undaunted and Arethusa; .The enemy saaplanes dropped bombs harmlessly.. r.ear .the British ships. After three hours .three airmen, with machines, safely re-embarked. Three others re-embark-ed on submarines, when tfj.e machines sunk. There is only ore "'airman whose fata is unknown. The damage is not estimated, but the fact that all bombs were discharged points to a military significance. On Thursday a British airman visited Brussels for the purpose of dropping twelve bombs on the airship shed. At the first attack eight were discharged, and returning four others were despatched. It is believed six of the bombs took effect, but it could not be distinguished owing to smoke-from the shed.
