The Daily Chronicle's Dunkirk correspondent says the destroyers at Westende beat off Beveral suhmarines attempting to attack the heavier British warßhips. The Allies are steadily pressing the offensive and have cleared the Germans between Yprea and Dixmude. Details of success at tha outskirts of a wood at Wytschaete show the Germans in the forast trench surrendered without a shot due to the capture of the sentries. Rifle fire and maxim began to decimate German prisoners and British alike. A shell fired a hayrick lighting up th 9 formation of the German trenches, and a fresh battalion working np to the flank of the first the latter charged. Many German fugitives surrendered and tha remaindsr ware secured by hs eavariy.
