GERMAN COAST DEFENCE.

FORTIFYING KIEL CANAL. Copenhagen, Wednesday. The Germans are feverishly fortifying the Dannewerk fortress and the entrenchments north of the Kiel Canal, fearing that the Allies will land troops in- Scbleswig. All the German inlands in the North Sea are surrounded by entanglements, and strongly fortified. They are also constructing fortifications on the shores of Holstci i and the western side of the Elbe.
