ROTORUA BOATING FATALITY.
FOUR LIVES LOST,
Rotorua, Monday. About four o'clock yesterday a boat accident; occurred on Lake Rotorua, whereby four Uvea were loet. A party of sovon wero returning in a sailing boat from Mokoia Island, when u gUBt of wind capsized the craft.
Four occupants of the boat sank very shortly, and wore drowned. They are: — Herbert Webb, plumber, aged 40.
Mrs Webb, his wife, aged about 3!>. Phyllis Webb, a daughter, aged 13. Moses Edmondston, carpenter, ag»d 39.
The other occupants clung to the boat until they wore rescued. One man named Ridley was greatly exhausted.
Of those drowned only EdmondBton'a body has been recovered so fßr. Webb leaves two sons, aged 10 and 11 yearp.
Edmondston leaves a widow, but no children.
