TURKISH FORTS CAPTURED.
BOMBARDED BY BRITISH I CRUISER. INDIAN TROOPS LAND. Wellington, Monday. The High Commissioner reports from London on November lGth as followa: — The Admiralty announces successful operations against the Turks at Sheik Said Cape, at the Bab-i j l-Mundeb entrance to the Red Sea. Three battalions of Indian troops landed under cover of the lire of the cruiser Duke of Edinburgh, which disabled the Turba fort. Infantry attacked the enemy's position and occupied the hills commanding Manakha. Tba opposition was weak. Two hundred of the enemy escaped. We occupied the forts and captured a larpi> amount of ammunition and six field Our casualties were four men killed and one officer and 15 men wounded.
