GERMAN OFFICIAL STATEMENT,
Received Tuesday, 11.45 p.m. Paris, Tuesday. Official. —The situation is unchanged. Amsterdam, Tuesday. Official Berlin' reports Btate the Russian advance near Soldau has been repulsed, strong Russian forces behg thrown back on Flack on Sunday. The Germans have taken five thousand prisoners and ten machine guns. Several Russian army corps have been driven back to Kutdo. According to the latest estimates the Russians have lost twenty-three thousand prisoners, seventy guns and machine guns. Petrograd, Tuesday. The Russians are fighting tenaciously at Soldau and Neidennurg, the Germans determinedly seeking to paralyse the Russian attack along the southern frontier of East Pussia,
