Mr Asquith said the British casualties in France and Belgium to October 21st, were fifty-seven thousand.
MILLION MORE TROOPS.
The Daily Telegraph understands the Government on Monday will ask the House of Commons to sanction the raisirg of an additional million troops. A half-crown income tax is likely.
