THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY.

TE EUITI. COMPANY. Operations at the Ta Kuiti facotry are now in full swing. The alterations and additions to the building have batjn completed and the increased accomodation makes ihe work of the staff much easier. The amount received hitherto is just about equal to last season's supply, but as tha Beason advances the record of last year will be improved upon considerably. The prices paid to suppliers fcr the opening months—lid and la respectively, are very good and compare more than favourably with the amounts paid out in - other districts during the same period. Present indications point to a good Home market and providing shipping facilities are maintained there appears to he every reason to anticipate a highly profitable season. In accordance with suggestions which have been mooted for some time the directors of the company aro calling general meeting or tha purpose of considering and approving or otherwise of proposals to increase the number of directors to nino instead of seven, and to increase the amount of butter fat in respect of which each member shall hold one share in the company from 125 to 225. The meeting is to be held on Saturday next, and there is every likelihood of the proposal being adopted.
