OTOROHANGA.
A largely attended meeting of tbe lojol branch of the Liberal League look place on Saturday night, at which tbe Liberal organiser for the Taumaiunui electorate, Mr Aldridge, was present. A large amount of business was got. through and the members are all hard at work to secure foe election cf Mr W. T. Jennings, the Liberal candidate, at the forthcoming general election. Messra T. P. Walshe and Cloaey addressed the meeting, and their remarks were listened to with inter«Bt. The secretary, Mr J. A. Grmsby, informed the meeting that Mr Harry Atmore, M.P., would give a political address in Otorohanga on Thursday evening next. It was decided to thoroughly advertise the fact, and also to entertain Mr Atmore at a banquet to be held after the meeting, tbe banquet to be under the auspices of the Otoro hanga branch of the League. A committee waa set up to carry the matter through.
A branch cf the League is to be opened at Otewa on Saturday next by the organiser, Mr Aldridge, several members of the Otorohanga branch having signified their intention of being present.
