They have been promised that the money will be returned wtin interest at five per cent, from the French indemnity. The cause of the concentration of eight German Army Corps in East Prussia is considered to be political rather than strategic. It is evident that Germany will concentrate moßt troops at Breslau, in Silesia, about fifty miles from the border, which is the key to the interior lines of communication with Prussia. A bag belonging to a Prussian officer was captured at Verdun. It contained a number of iron crosses, inscribed: "Paris—lßl4-1914." They were intended as souvenirs on the entry of the Gorman into Paris. They have been distributed to the British and French soldiers. Petrograd, Wednesday. Sixty Circassians entered Czemstochowa, in Russian Poland, overpowered the German patrols, entered the cafes, slew German officers, and withdrew without loss.
