Newton King reports:— At Rahotu on 22nd inst., I had a small entry, ail of which was cleared at the following prices:—Yearling heifers 495, small 22s 6d to 30b, rough yearling Bteers 345, empty 20 month heifers £3 3s 6d to £3 7s, cows and calve 3 £4 6s, forward cows £5 5s to £6, store cows £3 16a to £4 18s, bulla £5 ss, choice springing heifers £7 17s 6d to £8 ss, good £5 12s 6d to £7, two year heifers £3 10s to £5 7s 6d, hoggets 14s 6d. At Stratford on 22nd inst., for my weekly springing heifers sale, I had a good entry of springers and a representative attendance of buyers. A choice springing heifer made £ll, o.thers, best £6 to £7 10s, good heifers £5 10s and £5 15s, smaller sorts £3 10s to £5. The SI heifers sold averaged £5 15s 9d. Dairy cows made £9 ss. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:— At Hamilton on September 17th, we bad a full yarding of sheep, pigs and cattle, and report a good sale for all classes. Prices—Fat wethers 27s 6d, store wethers 21s io 235, fat hoggets 18s 6d, to 20s 9d, well-grown woolly hoggets 15s lid tu 16s 3d, small hoggets 12s 4d, prime fat steers £ll 19a to £l2 12s, lighter £9 lis, to £lO 15s, heavy fat cows £7 7s to £9 7b 6d lighter £5 15s to £6 18s, fat heifers £7 5a to £7 17s, fresh-eondi-tione three and four year steers £7 8s to £7 19s, three year steers £6 15s to £7 ss, fleshy empty cows £4 15s to £5 ss, two year empty heifers £4, yearling heifers £2 12s to £2 18s, yearling heifers £2 12s to £2 18s, yearling steers £2 17s 6d to £3 6s, bulls sgns to B|gns, choice springing heifers £7 2a 6d to £8 2s 6d, others £5 10a to £6 15s. choice dairy cows £8 to £ll, weaner pigs 10s to 15s, slips 20s to 335, porkers 35b to 40s„. baconers £2 19s to £3 13s. MARKET REPORT. Mr Graham reports on local markets: Fowls, all sorts, exceptionally good demand and bringing irom 2a to 3s 6d, ducks from 2s 6d, turkeys 8s 6d, weaner pigs 8s to 15b, stores and slips according to quality.
