Danish, steady, 128s to 130s; Siberian, fair demand, 1.14s to 118s; Australian -sD"-all supplies coming forward, 116s to 120s; Irish creamery, very slow, 112 ato 118s; Argentine, 116 a to 118s. Cheese. —The market is quiet, but steady. Canadian, slow, 75s to 765; English cheddar, quiet, 76g to S4s. HIGH MEAT PRICES. Dunedin, Wednesday. There was a marked advance in the price of beef at Burnside sales to-day. Tuere was a small yarding. It is an open secret that export buyers are operating freely. It is probable there will be a real shortage of cattle. Prices at times to-day were as high as 50s per lOOlbo, the highest price ever paid at Burnside. Retailers had to buy at what they consider excessive prices. They regard the advance of the retail prices as certain.
