WAITANGURU.

Own Correspondant. The weather continues warm and mild, but frosts have beef] frequent and have impeded the growth of spring by their ,- cy clasps. The dairy herds are daily swelling in numbers, and have done so to such an extent as to warrant a start being made at the local factory on Monday, 14th inst. Though the supply was small, the quality of the cream delivered was of a high standard, and reflects credit on the suppliezs. This should certainly warrant the belief that they intend to continue in the same manner as they have commenced, and that their interests are absorbed in the realisation that a first-class manufacture can result only by a first-class prodction. With better and more up-to-date facilities at their disposal this season, the suppliers will be afforded with a better aid to furnish the essential cleanliness of cream produced. By the accomplishment of this factor, and the continuation of this only can full justice be awarded to the dairying industry and the fullest measure of advantage and profit be derived therefrom, and the interests of the . district be served to the largest extent. For the welfare of the district it is hoped that the present season may convey encouragement and prosperity to the setters, and be the incentive towards strengthening the spirit of progress in our tnidst.
