The lonp-looked-for rain h&B coma at last, and gladdened the hearts of the Bettlers throughout the district. There was a slight fali on Wednejday night and Thursday morning, but it was not till Thursday evening that a proper downpour was experienced. Yesterday Mr Butts, who keeps the record at Te K aiti, stated that a fall of an inch had been registered locally. Owing to the boisterous weather which prevailed on Thursday night, the annual meeting of the Tetinia Club, which was to have been held, was adjourned until Wednesday, 30th inst. A working bee will be held this afternoon to place the courts in orda in readineßß for an early opening o the club.
