Messrs Dalgety., ami Co., Vd., report:— HAMILTON SALE. In (be Hamilton yards on September TO tb, we heldour tri-weekiy stock sale. There was a good attendance of buyers and we were successful in disposing of practically all lines under the hammer. There waa an extra large yarding of piga, but as many sheep as wsre anticipated did not come forward. The Ayrshire calf donated to the Patriotic Fund by Mr F. C. Litchfield was sold six times and realised 8| guineas. They quote: —Weanera 9s 6d to 18s, empty sows 18s to 60s, sews in pig 3 guineas to 4£ guine'as, baconers 40s, others 20a to 35a. Fat ewes sold at 22e 6d, fat wethers (good) 26s 3d, woolly hoggets 15s to 17s, medium fat bullocks £lO I7s to £ll 4s, lighter do. £9 14s, fat cows £6 10s to £7, store cows ."£3 103 to £5, good yearling heifers £2 10s to £3, inferior UGs to 40s, yearling st3ers 26a to £2 17s 6d, dairy heifers close to profit £6 to £7, backward £3l2s 6d to £5 ss, dairy cows close to profit £7 10s to £lO, ■ backwrd 1 £5 15s to £6 ss. . |_TE AWAMUTU:SALE. We held our usual monthly sale in the TeAwamutu yards last Saturday when we had a very successful sale, there being a good attendance pi buyers. Wa quote:—Pigs at late rates, ewes with lamb at foot 265, fat wethers 23a, heavy fat bullocks £9 to £lO ss, lighter £8 to £9 Ib, two year steers £4 Ba, fat cows £6 16s to £8 10s, atom cows £4 6s 6d to £5 17s 6d, empty heifers £3 15a to££4 2a 6d, small yearlings 33s to 44a, small balls £3 to £4 10s, dairy cows close to profit' £7 to £B, backward £5 7s 6d to £6, dairy heifers close to profit £6 10a to £B, backward £5 5s to £6.
