In our issue of to-day there appears particulars of Mr Graham's Saturday Mart sale, comprising horses, pigs. poultry, saddlery, light spring trap, etc. The annual meeting of the Te Kuiti Lawn Tenis Club baa been postponed from this evening to to-morrow evening at 7.30 o'clcok. The meeting Will be held in the Chronicle office. Some time ago a meeting of ratepayers was held nt Aria in connection with the propoasl to metal the Pio Pio-Aria road. No action wbb taken at the time and Mr P. D. Smyth, councillor for the Aria riding, agreed to convene a meeting to again consider the matter in three monthß' time. That period has now elapsed and the meeting is being convened by Mr Smyth for Friday, October 2nd, at Aria At a meeting of the Labour Day Sportß Committees held on Friday night (writes our Auckland correspondent), four adhernnts of the old Tiamru Athletic Union urged the committee to hold their Labour Day Sportß under the jurisdiction of Tmiaru- This the committee unanimously declined to do. The aptrts will be carried out under the control of the Northern Athletic Union, which is the governing body foe Auckland Province. The Tu Kuiti Bowling Club will open their green informally on Thursday afternoon next when a fow rinks will be ready for play. There is little doubt that a large number of bowlera will avail themselves of this opportunity to have the first 'roll uo' of the season The green is said to be in good order so that members intending members may rely on having a good game.
