The High Commissioner's market report, dated London, September 12th, is ns follows: Mutton and Lamb.—The market ia weaker, though not actually lower. There is small demand on account of high prices. There is a large oupply of Dutch pork and veal. Canterbury mutton, s§d for light weipht; North Island, s£d. Canterbury lamb, twos, 6|d; other than Canterbury, Gsd. Beef.—The market is declining on account of moderate supplies of Irißh beef coming forward. New Zealand hinds 6fd; fores. sgd; chilled hinds, 61; fores, 5Jd. Butter.—The market ib quiet. Prices ore irregular for low grade. Danish, 124s to 128 a; Siberian, 116s to 120s; Irish creamery, 118s to 120s; Auaralian, 118 ato 120s; New Zealand, 124s to 128e. Cheese.—The market is quieter prices are firm. Canadian, white and coloured, 76s to 78s, the latter figure being exceptional; New Zealand, 72s to 765. Hemp —The market is dull, and very little business iq being done. A large supply of Manila has arrived. The prices are nominally unchanged. Fair current Manila, £26 10b; New Zealand, good to fair, £24 10s; fair £22 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 9000 bales. There is a good demand for second grade tow at £l4 per ton. Grain.—Tin- market remains firm. Australian wheat, 47a, c.i.f. New Zealand Garton oats 32a, ex store. Wool.—The market ia firm for grades of medium and course crossbreds, but ia quiet. Prices are Blightly weaker for all grades of merinos and fine croosbredfi. The wool sale have been postponed till October 6th. ;
