RUSSIAN ADVANCE
A GERMAN DEFEAT. ENORMOUS AUSTRIAN LOSSES. Received Tuesady, 11.10 p.m. London, Monday. The Russian Embassy says the German army, commanded by General Hindenburg.was defeated near Malwa. The Gnrmans are evacuating Poland. The Russians have resumed the offensive in Prussia, and are commencing tho of Konigsburg. The German losses are 50,000 Petrgorad, Monday It is officially reported the Russians operating against the Austriana and Germans took 180,000 prisoners. 450 field gun*. 1000 fortress artillery, 4000 transfer waggons, 12 flags, and seven aeroplanes. Rome, Monday. Information received says four Russian armies are hastening to invade Germany; two in East Prussia, a third at Posen, and the fourth and strongest in lower Silesia.
