*- FAT STOCK SALES The' New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency reports: At Westfield Yards on Wednesday fat cattle came forward in good numbers, and cumDetiMon was keen throughout, and prices were firmer than last week. Best oxen sold at 33s per 1001b; others 29s to 32b; cows and heifers 27s to 295; steers sold at from £8 7s Cd to .£ls 15s; cowa and heifers £5 to £lO 10b; 2 steers from Messrs K. and W. Gollan. Panmure, realised .£l3 19s each, and 16 steers from Messrs H and J. Goodfellow. Panmuro, realised £l2 13a 3d each. Veal calves came forward in large numbers, and old at lower rates. Extra heavy weights sold at from £5 10s to £7 3s, medium weight £3 to £4 17s. lighter £2 to £'i 18s, smaller 30s to 38s, small and fresh-dropped 3s to 255. Sseep came forward in full numbers, and stu.wed no improvement in price. Best wetherß sold at from 25s to 275, others 19b 6dto24s9d; heavy ewes 22s to 24s 6d; others 15s to 2Ls 6d. Hoggets came forward in good supply, and sold well. Best quality 19s Gd to 21s, others 16b 9d to 19s 3d. Pigs Wore penned in less numbers than usual, and very few porkers wore yarded. Prices were higher than late sales. Large porkers £2 12s tj £3 Bs, porkers 35a to 50s, slips 22s to 25s 6d, weaners lis to 18s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as followß on their Johnsonville sale:—A good yarding of . sheep and cattle came forward and sold well at late rateß. Medium weight bullocks £l2 6b to £l2 15s, lighter £ll 10s to £ll 15s, fat cows £6 10s, vealers 29s to 7s, extra heavy wethers 30s to 31s, medium wethers 245, plain wethers 235, medium ewes 22b Id, light eweß 21a
