ADVANCE IN FRANCE RETREAT IN PRUSSIA London, Wednesday The Dutch press, on the strength of German sources of. information, declares that Germany's plan appears to abandon temporarily East and West Pruseia to the Russians, and to withdraw slowly west to. the river Oder, where the main defence of Berlin will be made. The object of this move is to afford time to the German armies operating against the Francce to deal a death-blow at the British and French forces, aiid then march on Paris. Tlie distance between .Mons and Paris is only a-quarter of the dißance between Insterburg and Berlin
